Somatic Coaching
Somatic Coaching:
Accessing Your Inner Wisdom
Somatic Coaching helps you access your innate wisdom by tuning into the body’s intelligence. This process involves guided experiences that heighten awareness of subtle sensations, images, and textures within the body. Through these practices, we release stuck energy, ease tension, cultivate deep discernment, and interrupt destructive patterns. By quieting the analytical mind, we engage the body’s wisdom directly, transforming limiting beliefs and empowering ourselves to make choices that align with our most authentic and fulfilling lives.
Somatic Coaching recognizes the power of beginning in the depths of the body’s intuitive dimensions and letting that depth inform the actions that will lead us to our desired outcomes.
Why a Somatic Approach to Coaching?
Somatic coaching is for those who recognize that lasting transformation requires more than a top-down, mind-first approach—and who are ready to engage in an embodied process of change from the inside out.
Many of my clients come to this work after reaching the limits of traditional coaching or talk therapy, seeking a deeper, more integrated path forward. A somatic approach invites you to access the wisdom of your body—where experiences, patterns, and beliefs are often held beneath conscious awareness, often beyond the reach of more cognitively focused modalities.
Together, we attune to your physical, emotional, and energetic landscape to gently uncover past wounds, subconscious patterns, and internalized beliefs that may be shaping how you live and lead.
Through somatic coaching, you cultivate the capacity to interrupt patterns that lead to burnout, make more aligned and empowered decisions, and lead with greater authenticity, presence, and wholeness.
My Background & Approach
My journey into somatic work began early—at age five—when my mother enrolled me in martial arts classes. Though I didn’t realize it at the time, this early immersion in the physical and philosophical teachings of the East laid a powerful foundation for what would become my life’s path. Even then, I had a deep sensitivity to the energies and emotions around me. While this made me perceptive, it also made everyday life challenging.
As a professional facilitator, I became attuned to subtle shifts in group energy—unspoken tensions, emotional undercurrents, or signs of distrust. I would often feel these imbalances in my own body. Rather than being consumed by this sensitivity, I committed to understanding it. Through years of study and practice, I cultivated a deep relationship with the body’s language and the flow of life force energy—known as prana or chi. I learned to work with the psyche and nervous system through modalities such as shamanic journeying, yoga, breath work, meditation, qigong, and Thai Yoga Massage.
My approach to somatic coaching has emerged as a natural integration of these experiences and disciplines. In our work together, I support you in reconnecting with your body’s deep intelligence—using sensation, breath, archetypal work, and metaphorical imagery to access what often lives beneath conscious awareness. From that place, we begin to gently unwind long-held patterns, support greater balance in the nervous system, and create the conditions for your own inner wisdom to guide the way forward.

What Can I Expect in a Session?
Each session lasts between 60-75 minutes. We begin with a somatic “drop-in” practice to ground ourselves in the body while clarifying your intention for the session. From there, I guide you through a body-centered dialogue with your inner self. Depending on what emerges, we may incorporate movement, automatic writing, visualization, vocal expression, or other embodied practices to support the process.
Guiding Principles
My work with you is grounded in the following beliefs:
1. The Body Knows
Our bodies hold both our traumas and our liberation. By listening to and honoring the body’s wisdom, we can navigate life with greater clarity, confidence, and authenticity.
2. You Are the Expert on Your Own Life
Society often conditions us to seek external validation, but the most profound guidance comes from within. Through somatic awareness, we can strengthen our intuition and trust in our own inner knowing.
3. Joy & Pleasure Are Our Birthright
Following our joy reminds us who we are. Allowing ourselves to experience pleasure expands our ability to sense and interact with the world around us. Laughing full belly laughs, savoring something delicious, feeling the warmth of the sun on our skin, dancing or singing like nobody's watching, disrupt unhealthy patterns of social conditioning and internalized inferiority. When we open ourselves to the things that feel good and move our energy in recognition of life, we connect more readily with our truest selves and ultimately to each other.
4. You Are Enough
Your existence, in its unique and beautiful expression, is inherently valuable. Systems of oppression and patriarchy often silence us and cause us to question our worth. By reconnecting with our bodies, we reclaim our voice, power, and inherent worthiness.
5. Play is a Tool of Liberation
Play invites us to loosen the grip of seriousness and step outside the rigid roles and systems we’ve learned to conform to. In play, no one’s in charge and there’s no right or wrong—just curiosity, creativity, and a sense of flow & freedom. Through play, we tap into new ways of relating, imagining, and building together, moving beyond the limits of oppressive beliefs and structures and toward collective liberation.
